Fundy Shore Climate and Weather
While spending time along the Fundy Shore, you’ll quickly notice many aspects of our region that are influenced by sea and tide; including our weather and climate. As our shore stretches from the historic town of Amherst to the Parrsboro region, our weather changes just as dramatically as the region’s landscape. You may begin your coastal adventure with a simple t-shirt in the morning and finish with a light sweater, come the afternoon. Bear in mind, the temperatures do drop by a few degrees the closer you are to the coast.
Generally speaking, our seasonal temperatures are moderate. Spring tends to be on the cooler side, our summers are pleasantly warm. And thanks to the sea breezes from Fundy, our long, late, lovely autumns tend to be warm and clear. Winters here are perfect for outdoor activity as the action of the tides prevents heavy freezing on the water and keeps our weather just right for playing outside with a hat and mitts.
Spring temperatures usually range from -5 C to 22 C (23 F to 72 F). Daytime temperatures are generally warmer.
Summer temperatures average around 10 C to 25 C (50 F to 77 F).
Fall temperatures tend to be in the 2 C to 20 C (36 F to 68 F) range.
Winter temperatures average from -10 C to 4 C (14 F to 40 F).
