Go big. Right here. There’s a wild world of outdoor fun that is yours to experience on the Fundy Shore where a few billion litres of water coming and going twice a day creates a playground like no other on earth. Maybe your idea of a grand adventure is adding a couple of species to your birding life-list and of being thrilled by the sight of bald eagles coming to feed their young in a treetop nest high above the crashing waves on a rocky outcropping of coast. Perhaps you'll want to ride the crazy cresting wave that slams up and down a river run with spray in your face, your knuckles white from hanging on, and the urge to laugh and shriek and cheer all fighting for attention in your chest. When the temperature drops and the Fundy Shore is covered with a blanket of fresh, powdery snow, experience the thrills of Wentworth Mountain while zipping down the many alpine trails or grabbing air on the half-pipe.
We have hundreds and hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails from wheelchair accessible, well-maintained coastal boardwalks to wilderness standard trails for experienced hikers that take you to secret waterfalls that only the intrepid get to see. Hike the many trails of the Five Islands Provincial Park, cycle the Cobequid trail or rockhound the day away on the shores of Cape Chignecto. We have more than a dozen provincial parks and lots of great recreation opportunities from seaside golf courses to family fun parks.
