Open your eyes, your ears, your heart. Ours is a cultural that is founded on great music and storytelling. From the earliest days of Mi’kmaq pow wows, to the arrival of the first wave of Scottish settlers with their bagpipes and fiddles, to the traditions established by stars like Anne Murray to the current roster of Three Shores born and raised rock, folk, country, and indie songwriters and performers like George Canyon who have taken the world by storm – we have always loved to be entertained. You’ll find more than a dozen theatres along Three Shores whose stages welcome actors, comedians, and musicians from around the region and around the world. With most of our theatres seating fewer than 500 people, you’re guaranteed an intimate experience where audience and performers share a special bond you don’t get in at a stadium concert.
Along the Three Shores, often excellent entertainment can be found outside of our professional theatre venues. From folk festivals held in fields and beaches along our coast to kitchen Ceilidhs held in small town pubs on winter evenings, there are all kinds of places and ways to soak up the unique Three Shores arts scene.
