Antigonish Highland Society

The Antigonish Highland Games are staged annually by the Antgonish Highland Society, which was established to preserve Scottish culture and traditions. First held in 1863, this early July tradition welcomes visitors and particpants from around the globe. Welcome to the 150th Anniversary of the Antigonish Highland Games. We will be celebrating with you for the entire week of July 7th-14th 2013. We will be featuring a huge Anniversary concert, a very special Concert Under the Stars, Heavy Events Championships, a reunion of 150 former pipers to entertain you, and much much more! Stay tuned to our website which will be launched by December 1st 2012.

From Antigonish, take Route 337 towards Cape George. After about 10km look for a sign pointing towards Mahoney's Beach. The Beach road is on the right. Follow signs to the parking lot.

Old Barn Gallery & Decor

OLD BARN GALLERY & DECOR is a new business on an old and beautiful farm. Located in the French Acadian village of Pomquet, the gallery opened in 2011 after the owners retired from 32 years breeding horses and no longer needed the vast loft for hay storage. -- This magnificent structure with its massive beams is now the setting for paintints, sculpture, folk art, antiques, fabric art, vintage quilts and hooked rugs, and much more. --- Opening for its second season June 1st, Wed - Sunday. 10 - 5 pm. Other days by chance or appointment. --- The farm is a visual deilght for garden and nature lovers. Horses graze over the fences and friendly barn cats greet you in the gallery. Outside the old barn doors is a wonderful courtyard garden where you can sit with a cup of tea. -- On Sundays English Cream Teas are served.

Cape George Point Lighthouse
